People who inspired you (and how): Eleanor Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy inspired me to be involved in public service and politics.

How you have contributed to the community: I have contributed to the community through my 23 years in public service as Intergovernmental Relations Director of Boulder County. I have also served as a volunteer on a wide variety of capacities with several organizations, such as EcoCycle, Plan-Boulder County and the Boulder County Parks and Open Space Advisory Committee. I am currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Mental Health Center serving Boulder and Broomfield counties.

What are the biggest issues facingyour constituency now: As I have walked HD 10 the biggest issues raised by residents are health care reform, adequate funding for public education, environmental protection, energy sustainability, economic vitality and the tax reform needed to fund all of the above.
