What do you like most about living here?:
The people are the best, the diversity of our community is exciting and the generosity and spirit of the people is heartwarming.
I especially enjoy the fact that we are a "college" town, the students add another exciting element to the community.
I also like the climate in northeastern Colorado pretty much throughout the year, I enjoy our seasons.
Interests & hobbies:
I enjoy riding our Harley Davidson Motorcycle with my husband and am learning to ride my own bike.
I also am an avid Barbie Doll collector.
Favorite TV show:
I like to watch the news on all the major Denver channels, I enjoy Reba, Golden Girls, All My Children, Dirty Jobs and the History Channel.
Actually, I don't watch a great deal of TV except news.

I don't really have a "favorite"; I go to many depending upon what I'm working on at the time.
People who inspired you (and how):
Former President Bill Clinton because of his leadership and class; Mayor John Hickenlooper, because of his commitment to children as an elected official; Kirsten C., a local Boettcher Scholarship winner, because of her strength and youthful passion for success; Davis, because of his outstanding recovery from mental illness and compassion for others; and my husband, because of his unconditional support and love.
How you have contributed to the community:
I have lived and worked in this community for over 45 years, and am a Colorado native.I have served Greeley for eight years as a City Councilmember, representative on the North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization, Greeley/Weld Airport Authority Board, and Greeley Convention and Visitor's Bureau,
and served as the City Council liaison to the Greeley Youth Commission for years.
I support United Way of WeldCounty, having served in many capacities for many years, and serve on the Promises for Children Coordinating Council.
What are the biggest issues facingyour constituency now:
1) the economy, securing good paying jobs and stopping the foreclosure crisis
2) securing our water resources for agriculture and municipalities for today and for tomorrow
3) regional transportation issues - improving the congestion on our major corridors and expansion of alternative modes of travel
4) planned and thoughtful growth in order to preserve the rural lifestyles with the ever- expanding urbanization
5) supporting our children and families in every way we can for success
