What do you like most about living here? Being in the wilderness, the crisp autumn evenings, the deep blue skies, the energy of Coloradans.

Interests & hobbies: I love to cook and entertain friends for dinner. I love to hike and back country sky, read both fiction and non-fiction, and garden.

People who inspired you (and how): There are many people, beginning with my mother. She is always in a good mood, she takes time to care for her friends, and continues to be engaged with the world and current events well into her 80's. There are local community members who inspire me as well.

How you have contributed to the community: I have tried to be involved in my community by offering rational, unemotional input on important community issues. I listen to my constituents and help them with problems, even if those problems aren't directly related to my legislative work. Lastly, I strive to be down-to-earth and remain involved in my neighborhood and in very local grassroots issues.

What are the biggest issues facingyour constituency now: My constituents continue to be worried about the cost of health insurance and about the health of our environment. They are concerned about the lack of state funding for higher education.
