Romping Stomping Dinosaurs exhibit opening

Lafayette, Colorado --WOW! Children's Museum (World of Wonder) today announced that the Museum will celebrate the grand opening of Romping Stomping Dinosaurs, an interactive dinosaur and paleontology exhibit on Tuesday, November 11th! Don't miss the exciting live reptile presentation by the Morrison Natural History Museum from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Special dinosaur crafts too! All exhibit activities are included with Museum admission!

In keeping with the Museum's mission of learning through play, Romping Stomping Dinosaurs invites visitors to discover what kinds of food dinosaurs ate; dress up like a paleontologist and dig for fossils in the sandbox; dress up in a dinosaur costume and sit in a dinosaur nest; check out real dinosaur fossils and more!

"When developing Romping Stomping Dinosaurs, we thought of the many directions a museum could go with a dinosaur exhibit. We decided to focus on local dinosaurs, emphasizing to children that long, long ago, these dinosaurs could have lived in their very own backyards! A huge appeal to this exhibit is that children can "become" a dinosaur for the day," said Carolina Eichinger, curator of this exhibit and Special Events Coordinator for WOW! Children's Museum. "They can put on a dinosaur nametag such as 'Stella the Stegosaurus,' and search for information about their own type of dinosaur throughout the museum. Dinosaur activities will be incorporated in the art and music rooms too!"

Romping Stomping Dinosaurs will be on display at WOW! through January 2009. WOW! Children's Museum would like to recognize and thank the Morrison Natural History for collaborating on this great new exhibit! For more information about the Morrison Natural History Museum please visit: www.mnhm.org.
