July events at WOW! Children's Museum


Lafayette, Colorado -- WOW! Children's Museum (World of Wonder) today announced upcoming activities and events at the Museum during the month of July. Please see below for date, time and cost information for all activities and events.

Splash! Drop-in Art Program - Wednesday, July 1 st and Wednesday, July 8 thExplore painting in an unusual way! Splash is an informal drop-in art program for children of all ages. Splash! will be open from 10:00am-11:00am and is included with Museum admission!

Happy Independence Day - Saturday, July 4 th
WOW! will be open from 10:00am to 2:00pm (half day) on July 4 th. Special patriotic crafts available while supplies last. Crafts are included with your Museum admission!

Story Time at WOW! - Friday, July 10 th and Friday, July 17 th
You're invited to join our story time volunteer for a special story time on Friday, July 10thand Friday, July 17that 10:30am! Story time is included with your Museum admission!

Tie Dying Art Class - Wednesday, July 15 th
Learn about old fashioned plant dyes and use plants to create designs on a bandanna. Bring a white t-shirt to tie dye at the end of class! Class is for children ages 5-11 years old. Cost: $9 for WOW! Members and $10 for non-members. Advanced registration required. Please call for more information.

Drop-In Science Explorations - Tuesday, July 21 st and Wednesday, July 22nd Curious about how to approach science with your kids? Join WOW! in July for family science fun! This month we will explore different topics related to astronomy. Drop-in science explorations are informal science sessions that are included with your Museum admission. Drop-in science explorations are open from 10:00am-2:00pm on each of the dates listed above.

Build-It-Yourself Exhibits - Now Open!
WOW!'s Log Cabin Exhibit has returned for the summer! Build a life size cabin with wooden building pieces or create a smaller version with Lincoln Logs! Learn about the importance of teamwork by building a free standing Keystone Arch! All building exhibits are on display through the summer and are included with your Museum admission!
