Savitri's, creators and distributors of fair-trade, Earth-friendly gifts, specializing in recycled papers and stationery since 2001 have recently opened "EcoMania - the Green Store" at the Table Mesa Shopping Center in South Boulder. We carry a unique range of handmade art papers, gift wrap, stationery sets, greeting cards, CD gift covers, notebooks, pocket-books, journals, scrapbooks and albums, art etc.
EcoMania sponsors The EcoCreatives Club, which helps foster smarter uses for resources in the creating of handmade art and fine crafts. We will host weekly classes at our store starting Feb 9 nd, 2008 in book arts and paper crafts.
SAVITRI's
is a small business which gives men and women working with us a clean and safe environment and promotes their economic and social progress.
Our designer:
Nature itself, inscribing on our papers the infinitely diverse calligraphy of its leaves, flowers, herbs and pods with a very simple and sophisticated appeal. The imprints are actual impressions of leaves, a process so tedious and unique only to our papers and products.
Our paper:
a handcrafted product made of recycled textile waste and vegetal fibers, for which no tree needs to be cut.
Our community:
is made of Indian, American, Italian and French nationals dedicated to the realization of human unity and are deeply committed to fair-trade and a greener earth.
Savitri's
represents three Indian cooperatives in the international city of Auroville, South India. With every purchase you contribute to the livelihood of many underprivileged and thankful families, encourage recycling efforts and you help us achieve our primary objective of preserving, reviving, replenishing and renewing our natural resources.
