Contributed by: brooke parkin on 9/24/2007

Boulder Ballet School is pleased to announce that we are offering boys the unique opportunity to learn to dance - and the first class is FREE! Classes are offered from 7 years old and up - there is plenty of opportunity for all ages!

Boulder, Co (September 24, 2007) Under the direction of Peter Davison, our comprehensive boys' program has grown over the past eight years to become one of Colorado's major training programs for the male dancer. Boyz Dance offers a multi-disciplinary experience including dance, juggling/object manipulation, rhythm and physical theater. Also offered is Boys Ballet, a classical ballet training program geared toward the male technique featuring turning and jumping. Our advanced male students have consistently won awards and scholarships, and have been accepted to prestigious programs such as American Ballet Theater, San Francisco Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Juilliard.

According to one of the recent graduates of the program, "After experience with gymnastics, soccer, swimming my proirity became dance." This graduate is now dancing professionally in New Jersey. Boulder Ballet School classes are offered through out the week - check the website for more information - www.boulderballet.org or feel free to call 303.443.0028. Similar to an academic year, preparatory classes are held in two semesters.
