CU graduates 2,000 students at commencement

A drastic change from last year's Winter Commencement Ceremony, the weather was in the low 40s and sunny as CU celebrated the graduation of about 2,000 students, undergraduates and graduates Dec. 21 at 9:30 a.m.

Professor Margaret A. Tolbert gave the commencement address and talked at legnth about climate change and the role this graduating class will have in addressing its problems.

President Hank Brown, celebrating his last Winter Commencement as President of the University, gave a rousing speech to the degree recipients.

Meagan O. Mahlberg sang the National Anthem, America the Beautiful and led graduates past and present in singing the Alma Mater.
