Wendy Bohling is brilliant when it comes to keeping technology fun! As Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Magpie, a custom software development company in Denver, she is always thinking outside of the box. Just take a look at her newest creation, "CTO Showdown, JAVA vs .NET," which is part of Magpie's quarterly technical seminar series.
Last year, Wendy and Margaret Burd, Magpie CEO, became friends with Lisa Calkins, President and Co-Founder of Amadeus Consulting, a Boulder software development company that specializes in .NET based solutions. Although the two companies may occasionally compete, they have created a partnership, supporting each other as fellow Colorado companies with women at the helm.
The CTO Showdown is an example of how two companies can work together to create a very fun and educational evening, while bringing numerous Colorado technical professionals together.
On Thursday May 22nd at 5:30, Barry Ostroff CTO of Magpie Telecom Insiders will
team up with Steve Loper, CTO of Amadeus Consulting, to provide some technical entertainment (and information) that you will not want to miss! Coding languages are much like religion to some developers. The industry is divided among those that prefer developing in .NET and those that choose Java.
Join us for a lively and informative session from two of Colorado's top CTO's on the value and differences of J2EE/JAVA and .NET software development. Come to this FREE event and hear why each CTO believes their platform serves their clients best!
Refereed by Josh Holmberg, Regional VP of Sales for Broadsoft and Communications Technology Professionals Board Member
LOCATION: University of Colorado, Boulder - Discovery Learning Center: corner of Regent Dr. and Colorado Ave. (free parking starts at 5pm)
RSVP at http://www.magpieti.com/rsvp.shtml
Complete with "fight food" this event is sure to deliver. Please see the events calendar and join us on Thursday May 22nd!
