Buff Tans robbed at gunpoint
Officers responded to 1325 Broadway after receiving a report of an armed robbery at Buff Tans on April 29. A gunman walked in, displayed a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money. He walked away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
24-year-old dies
Officers responded to the unattended death of a 24-year-old man in the bedroom of his apartment in the 3300 block of Bridger Trail on April 28. There were no obvious signs of trauma. The coroner's office was notified and is working to determine cause of death.
Mountain lion spotted twice
Police responded to the 900 block of 9th Street on April 28 on a report of a mountain lion eating a raccoon. Division of Wildlife officials asked the officers to attempt to shoot the lion with beanbags and collect the raccoon carcass. The lion was hit three times before it left the area. The lion was spotted again around 11:50 p.m.
Man throws bowling ball at woman's head
Police arrested a Boulder man after responding to a domestic violence incident in the 900 block of Roxwood Lane on April 29. The suspect was gone when officers arrived, but he was located a short while later. He is accused of throwing a bowling ball over the victim's head, stealing her purse and driving under the influence.
Indecent exposure unfounded
Officers responded to a report of an indecent exposure at Whittier Elementary in the 2000 block of Pine Street on April 30. Further investigation revealed that the individual was actually seen in the 1800 to 1900 block of Pine Street. It appears the reporting party received information third-hand that a man may have been exposing himself in the area. No suspect or victim could be located. The case was closed as unfounded.
