The local office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) notified Boulder Police detectives today that they are contributing reward money for information leading to the apprehension of the First Bank robber.
The bank, located inside King Soopers at 3600 Table Mesa Drive, was robbed on Monday, Dec. 10 at about 1:30 p.m. The FBI is offering an undisclosed reward amount to anyone with information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
After the suspect fled the bank south bound on a bicycle, a dye pack given to him during the robbery exploded. The dye would have stained the money, the suspect's pockets and anything else that was exposed to it. Investigators believe that stains left behind would have been noticeable to people who know the suspect.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 6'2" tall and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green and black winter jacket and sunglasses and had a gray scarf wrapped around his face. He was also wearing white knit gloves. He may be in his mid 20s to early 30s.
Anyone with information about this crime or the suspect is asked to contact the Detective Section of the Boulder Police Department at (303) 441-3330 or dispatch at (303) 441-3333.
