Police blotter: Man shoots leaves with BB gun

MAN SHOOTS LEAVES WITH BB GUN
A 35-year-old man received a summons after police were called to the 5200 block of Pearl Street on Dec. 26 on a report of a man with a gun. The man reportedly had a very real-looking BB gun and was using it to shoot leaves.

UNLAWFUL SEXUAL CONTACT REPORTED
Officers took a report of an unlawful sexual contact on the 900 block of Walnut Street on Dec. 26. There is suspect information and the case remains under investigation.

CAR STOLEN FROM GROVE STREET
Officers took a report of a motor vehicle theft from the area of 16th and Grove streets Dec. 26. A blue Volvo reportedly went missing sometime between 7 p.m. and midnight Dec. 21 while a woman attended a party in the area. Her keys also were reportedly missing from the residence where the party was held. The case remains under investigation.

WOMAN CUTS EX-BOYFRIEND WITH A MIRROR
A 49-year-old Boulder woman was arrested on suspicion of violation of a protection order and domestic violence-related first-degree assault Dec. 25 after police were called to the 3000 block of 25th Street on a report of a woman screaming. The woman was accused of cutting her boyfriend with a broken piece of mirror during an argument.

EX WOULDN'T LEAVE NEW COUPLE ALONE
A 34-year-old Boulder man was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence-related harassment and an outstanding warrant for failure to comply Dec. 25 after his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend reported that he would not stop calling them.
