Officers responded to an injury accident in the 1700 block of Grove Street on April 23. The accident involved Boulder High School students. Three were driving in a car when a pedestrian, who had just gotten out of a parked car climbed onto the hood of the moving vehicle. The car drove about 5 to 10 mph for about a block, when the rider fell off the hood and hit his head on the pavement. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. The rider and driver were cited for clinging to a vehicle and permitting clinging to a vehicle.
Officers arrested a male suspect after responding to the 5000 block of Butte Street on a report of a burglary April 23. The victim told police he was sitting in his trailer when a man he did not know came in and hit him twice. The victim went to a neighbor's to call police. The suspect was located nearby.
Police responded to a traffic accident resulting in serious injuries to a motorcyclist April 23. The motorcycle hit the back of a truck, flipping end over end, near 34th Street and Colorado 119. A car belonging to a good samaritan who stopped to help was read-ended by another driver.
Officers responded to the death of a man who collapsed while getting into his car at 14th and Walnut streets April 24. The victim had a number of health problems. Victim advocates responded to assist family members. The coroner's office was notified. The death does not appear to be suspicious at this point in time.
Police responded to the 500 block of Pleasant Street after receiving a report of an assault April 24. Officers arrested a man after determining that he punched another man in the nose, causing bodily injury.
Officers arrested a man on possible charges of assault and prohibited use of a weapon April 24. A friend who was preventing him from using a shotgun to commit suicide tackled the man to the ground. The suspect later assaulted a security guard at the hospital.
