MAN ROBBED IN ALLEY
Boulder police took a report from a man who said he was robbed during the early morning hours of June 10 while walking in an alley. The man said someone hit, kicked him and stole money from him. The man could not provide a description of his attacker and the case remained under investigation at the time of the report.
MOUNTAIN LION SPOTTED
Police were dispatched to the area of 28th and Bluff Streets on a report of a mountain lion sitting on a fence June 10. The animal was gone when police arrived.
MAN DIES IN PARKING LOT
Police responded to an unattended death in front of Safeway, 4800 Baseline Road, on June 10. A 56-year-old man fell to the ground after loading his truck with groceries. Despite the immediate aid of passersby, a doctor at a nearby clinic and a nurse who was driving by, the man died. The coroner's office was notified and is investigating.
STOLEN BICYCLE RECOVERED
Police responded to the 1700 block of Pine Street on June 12 after a woman said she had seen her stolen bicycle being ridden by someone she suspected had taken it. The woman was able to recover her bicycle but the suspected thief fled on foot. The woman also reported she was missing an additional bike valued at $400. Officers located the 16-year-old suspected thief who was arrested on suspicion of theft by receiving and on several outstanding warrants.
MAN PUT IN HEADLOCK
Officers were sent to the intersection of 13th Street and College Avenue on a report of a fight. A man and his wife reported they were sitting on a bench when a approached them. The man appeared to be intoxicated and touched the woman. The woman's husband confronted him and the suspect struck him in the face and put him in a headlock. The husband suffered injuries to his mouth and head but refused medical attention.
