Police blotter: Steamroller taken on joy ride


MAN EXPOSES HIMSELF
Officers responded to the municipal building at 1777 Broadway on June 22 on a report of indecent exposure. A witness reported seeing a man yell at a woman cutting the grass in the area and subsequently drop his pants, exposing himself. Witnesses said the man was also yelling at other people in the area. The 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure.

STEAMROLLER TAKEN ON A JOY RIDE
Police were sent to the 1000 block of Tantra Park Circle on June 22 on a report of someone taking a city of Boulder steamroller on a joy ride. One witness reporting seeing a man sitting on the steamroller and asked him what he was doing. The suspect shouted profanities at the witness. The witness and a woman saw the man driving the steamroller down the street and saw him run into the back of a van. The man ran from the scene. Damage to both vehicles was minimal. The case remained under investigation at the time of the report.

MAN LAYS DOWN MOTORCYCLE
A 51-year-old male was injured on his motorcycle after he took an exit too wide, slid on sand and collided with a raised concrete island while exiting the Diagonal Highway onto Foothills Parkway on June 22. The man suffered several broken ribs and a pulmonary contusion.

TRUCK HITS TRAILER
Officers responded to a rollover accident on Foothills Parkway north of Valmont Road on June 23. The accident involved a truck and a travel trailer. Occupants were treated for minor injuries, and members of the fire department managed to save five cats that were inside the travel trailer. The Red Cross was called in to assist .

TUBER FOUND
Firefighters and police officers were sent to the area of Scott Carpenter Park along Boulder Creek looking for a lost tuber June 24. After about 15 minutes of searching, the 14-year-old was found. The tube she was on went flat and she had to swim out of the creek to the bank.The girl was walking down the bike path when she was contacted by authorities and returned to her parents.
