WINDOW BROKEN
Police responded BC Surf and Sport at 1600 28th Street after dispatch received an alarm of front glass breaking on July 4. Three rocks were found inside the business. A case of Oakley sunglasses was broken into and a shelf was missing. It was unknown whether or not other items were taken. This case remained open at the time of the report.
MAN STABBED
Officers were sent to the area of Central Park on July 4 on a report of a possible stabbing. Police spoke to a woman who said she slashed at a man with a six inch steak knife after he slapped her. The man suffered a laceration to his left ear and was taken to Boulder Community Hospital. The cut did not require stitches. The 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of second degree assault
MAN TASERED
Police were called to the intersection of 28th Street and Arapahoe Avenue July 4 on a report of a man carrying a knife. The man refused to comply with numerous requests by officers to sit down, so a taser was used on the man. The man continued to struggle with officers, who discovered a foot long knife concealed in his sleeve. The man was arrested.
MAN FALLS OFF BICYCLE
Officers responded to a report of an unconscious man lying in the road at the intersection of Broadway and Evergreen Avenue at about 2:45 a.m. July 11. According to a witness, the man had been riding his bike and swerving back and forth when he lost control of his bike and fell off. The man was not wearing a helmet. The man was taken to Boulder Community Hospital with what appeared to be serious injuries. Alcohol is believed to have played a role in this incident.
PROWLER REPORTED
Police responded to a report of a prowler peering in a window on the 3900 block of Colorado Avenue on July 11. Officers could not find anyone when the arrived at the address. The case remained under investigation at the time of the report.
