Every parent these days wishes there were more well suited television programs for kids, right? Well, our wishes have come true. Set your TiVo... Starting October 29th, the award-winning Competitive Edge show for kids, hosted by kids is coming to the Ion Network for its second season.

Each week a team of 5 amazing news reporters (Team Competitive Edge) will bring you exciting stories of super achievers right in our community! In fact, each member of Team Competitive Edge has amazing talents themselves!

The premier episode that will air Oct. 29 th at 4:30pm will feature state and local baton twirling athletes. ( yes, it is a real sport....) The twirlers jumped at the chance to showcase their sport, especially in Colorado, where very few know it even exists. Filmed at the Goodson Recreation Center, Competitive Edge reporters first interviewed the individual twirlers ranging in age from 7 to 17 years; and from Beginner to Advanced National Champions.

The crew then filmed a team, several individual routines, and a pairs team. As the girls were packing up their gear, the producer of the show invited the girls to "walk the red carpet" premier night at the Reel Mountain Theater in Estes Park. What a unique experience they will have exiting their limos, having their photos snapped and munching on popcorn to watch the premier episode on three giant movie screens! Along with many other special surprises, there will be a silent auction to help support positive family television programming in Colorado.
