The Family Learning Center Hosts Thanksgiving Food Drive
Boulder, Colo., November 18, 2008 - The Family Learning Center, a Boulder non-profit dedicated to encouraging successful lifelong learning and economic self-sufficiency for families of diverse cultures and limited incomes, is accepting food donations for low-income families in Boulder for the Thanksgiving holiday. This population of families is already struggling to put food on the table, so the Family Learning Center is collecting and distributing food items to ensure that every child and every family has food to eat in this time of thanksgiving.
Items needed include grocery food cards from King Soopers, Safeway and other local grocery stores, as well as fresh meats, chicken, pork roasts and turkeys, rice, potatoes, yams, dressing mix, cranberry sauce, other vegetables and fruits, etc.
All donations can be dropped off until Wednesday, Nov. 26, between 8:30 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday, at the Family Learning Center, 164 34th Street, Boulder, CO 80301. If you have questions, please call 303-442-8979 or email at
