What I like most about living here: Lafayette has a small time feel.
My interests and hobbies: Bilingual Volunteer in Community; love swimming; alternative healing methods; riding bikes with the kids, Bocci, not necessarily in that order.
My favorite thing to cook: Pesto Spaghetti
People who inspire me (and how): My sons have taught how to face hardship and adversity with dignity. They have faced more challenges in their short lives, than many of us in our entire lives!
How I have contributed to the community: Secretary Latino Advisory Board to the City Council of Lafayette; Member of Pastoral Council for Immaculate Conception Church of Lafayette.
The biggest issues facing Boulder County now: People leaving their neighbhorhood schools, stratification
Why I am running: I've always told my children that if they see a problem or a challenge to face it head on. I've got a good 8-12 years ahead of me within the School System, why not affect positive changes in the system instead of complaining.
