Almost Home Adoptions for rescued cats located in Westminster, CO is remembering all the victims of Katrina. One, in particular, that was transferred to our rescue from Louisiana. We named him Biloxi.

He was finally rescued several months after this horrific event. Biloxi, a beautiful white, blue-eyed male was about 3 years old at the time. We believe one reason he wasn't rescued sooner is because he could not hear. He was very afraid when he first arrived at the adoption center. It must have been so frightening out there fending for himself in those awful conditions.

After a few weeks in our cage-free environment he opened up his heart and was adopted into a loving, forever home. He was one of the lucky ones and we were all very lucky to have this wonderful little spirit in our lives.

God bless the heroism that helped saved the animals and those that otherwise would have died. In loving memory of all who didn't make it through we will carry you in our hearts forever.
