I believe that I should be awarded the suite at a Rockies game because I have been a true Rockies fan my entire life. I was eight years old when the Rockies became a ball club. I went to my first Rockies game in Mile High Stadium and I took my glove even though my seats were so bad there was no way I would have ever caught a ball.
Over the years I have gone to many Rockies games. Now that I am old enough to go on my own I have had a steady diet of Rockies baseball in the summer time with my friends and family. I have never seen a Rockies game from a suite it would be a whole new experience. I have been a dedicated Rockies fan for many years, a few summers back I was watching a Rockies game in my friends basement and Todd Helton was up to bat. Helton had struck out in his previous at bat and I told my friends that if Helton struck out again I would let them cut my hair anyway they wanted. I was very confident that Helton would not strike out in consecutive at bats. Helton end up striking out and then I had to go to a party that night with my head shaved down the middle, the sides still full of hair just the middle gone. It looked as if I was a balding older man, it was a big hit at the party.
Last season I had my friends write with a permanent marker on my back a Matt Holliday jersey look-a-like, that was also a fun day at the pool a number five on my back. For the past three years I have tried to get my friends to go to spring training as a spring break trip. I have not been successful yet, but I will get there someday. My friends consider me the biggest Rockies fan they know they have given me the nickname "Dinger".
I am sure that my love for the Rockies will never die and it would be a great honor to be selected to win this contest. If I was selected I would only invite Rockies fans to come with me to the game to cheer on the Rockies. As always "Go Rockies".
