Meet the CU Hockey Team this weekend

The University of Colorado hockey team will take part in the USA Hockey Weekend across America this Saturday with support from the Hyland Hills Hockey Association.

Hockey Weekend across America is a yearly initiative led by USA Hockey throughout the hockey community to celebrate the game to those involved and also expose the game to new audiences while providing opportunities to those who haven't played before.

The Buffs will be taking part in the USA Hockey's "One Goal" program at the Ice Centre at the Promenade in Westminster on Saturday Feb. 14 starting at 10 A.M.

The One Goal program is meant to introduce young people to the sport.

The Ice Centre at the Promenade is located at 10710 Westminster Blvd. in Westminster, Colo.

The Buffs along with the Hyland Hills Hockey Association will be at the Ice Arena signing autographs, talking, and skating with kids who are interested in the game of hockey.

At 10 A.M. CU players will be signing autographs and mingling with kids about the game of hockey, and then will skate with the kids starting at 11 A.M.

That night the CU hockey team invites everyone to come to a very special Valentine's Senior Night at the CU Ice Arena inside the Student Recreation Center on campus for the final home game of the year.

The Buffs will take on the University of Arizona Ice Cats at 7:30 P.M.

Admission is free for students and only $5 for the general public.
