Boulder Sprints: The nation's highest rowing event

University of Colorado Rowing will host the Boulder Sprints at 8 a.m. April 22 at the Boulder Reservoir. At 5363 feet, this is the highest rowing competition in the country.
This is the sixth year of the Sprints, and this year it's expanded to include newly formed programs in Ft. Collins, along with Rocky Mountain Rowing Club, CSU rowing, Utah Juniors, etc. There will be about 100 rowers competing in the following events:
Women's open 4
Women's open 8
Men's open 4
Men's open 8
Junior women's 4
Junior women's 8
Junior men's 4
Junior men's 8
There will also be events for smaller singles, doubles and pairs that are always exciting to watch.
The races are 1000 meter sprints. The event is expected to end about noon.
