Rage Sign Anneck, Trade Reynolds

Broomfield, Colo. - The Rocky Mountain Rage Hockey Club has officially signed winger Dorian Anneck after acquiring his rights on July 25 from the Memphis RiverKings in exchange for future considerations. In a separate transaction, Rage head coach Tracy Egeland traded forward Matt Reynolds to the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees also in exchange for future considerations. The Rage begins its inaugural season in the Central Hockey League on the road against the Colorado Eagles on Oct. 20 before making its home debut at the brand new, state-of-the-art Broomfield Event Center on Nov. 10 against the Tulsa Oilers.

Anneck played last season in Memphis, where he posted 44 points (16g-28a) in 46 games. A former 3 rd round selection of the Winnipeg Jets in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, he has averaged better than a point per game throughout his career, recording 523 points (250g-273a) during his first nine professional seasons.

Reynolds is entering his second season after spending his rookie campaign with the Fort Worth Brahmas. He registered 24 points (11g-13a) and 127 penalty minutes last year.

The Rocky Mountain Rage is one of two expansion teams in the CHL's 17-team field. The Rage will join the Colorado Eagles, Oklahoma City Blazers and Wichita Thunder in the Northwest Division.
