The flags twirled, replica guns were tossed and 36 area groups synchronized their elaborate movements to the music at the the 2008 Rocky Mountain Color Guard Association Championship on April 5 at the Coors Events Center in Boulder.
Broomfield's Legacy High School captured its second-straight title, winning in the Scholastic Open division.
Colorado Springs' Doherty High School won the Novice division with an 88.5. Douglas County took the Regional A title with a 94.5. Rampart High School took Scholastic A with a 92.8, while Denver-based Alchemy Independent won the Independent A championship with an 87.9.
The divisions have different requirements that the groups are judged on and must complete.
