Blog Entry 7 of 38 Entrepreneur Vs. Mommyworld
Who Am I? Well, why have I erased what I started five times already? I guess because I am still searching for who I am. Yes, I am a mother of three wonderful, beautiful, loving, never have gotten in trouble in their lives kind of boys. (At least not within the last few minutes...right, they are at school.) Who else am I? I am also a NEW ENTREPRENEUR. Within the last year, I have started three new business. Yippee! Each business is very different and separate from the other, but they are all interesting in their own right. Let's look at the facts and see where I fit the best. To start this blog, I had to cut myself out from the middle of the three little toe heads. Just this morning, I made an appointment to have my taxes done (payment = a kidney). When dropping the boys off at school, I got cut off by a rude driver and I flipped him off in the school line (personal note, never do that, his child is probably in your child's class), I made a wholesale order for business goods without having to ask for help (o.k. only three calls, but who's counting??), I washed a load of jeans and only one chapstick was found in the dryer this time (who in the world knows how to get out that stain?), successfully found some business receipts and only one had a picture of Yoda on the back, and most importantly remembered to say this morning, "I love my life!" I mean, being who I am is just great....now to go figure out who that is....

I Don't Want To Miss Recess
Contributed by: Sara Crowe   on 2/3/2008

On Friday, Older Son left his homework sitting on the counter when he left for school. It took everything I had to not take it to him...I knew he would have to miss his favorite activity of the day.....recess! (No Homework, No Play!)

The day went on....

At home, we were completely out of toilet paper. (I mean there wasn't even a square to be found in the house....no half used kleenex from my purse either.) I quickly went to the store to stock up. I got home and put it on the counter. It was taken out of it's crisy wrapping for the first needed use. Eeeh....it was a big bunch of paper towels.....I left the toilet paper on the counter at the store.

This got me thinking, if Older Son had to miss recess for leaving what he needed on the counter, what would my punishment be for leaving what I needed on the counter?

Do I miss:

Putting a half package of sugar with a tad of vanilla cream in my coffee in the a.m.?

Instead of using my favorite colored paperclips on my documents, would I have to switch to the regular ones?

Put on two mismatched shoes for a meeting?

Walk through three feet of snow, barefooted, backwards to the grocery store?

Older son has learned his lesson. What about me?
