Teen Volunteer Summer Intern Program

What:	Teens ages 14 & 15 are invited to apply for the Summer Intern Program at the Brighton Recreation Center to assist with the Funshine Summer Camp program. This great opportunity gives teens the chance to build self-esteem and leadership in a fun, high-energy environment and develop work history for future employment applications. Funshine Camp is for youth 6-12 years old and runs June 2-July 25. Activities includes crafts, swimming, field trips, indoor & outdoor games and more. Interns are helpful to the group leaders and aides by offering a little extra assistance and supervision of the groups. Interns are not left alone with the children at any point. Interns complete a time sheet weekly and for each hour of volunteer time, earn 2 RecBucks to be issued at the end of summer. RecBucks may then be applied towards a Recreation Center pass. the more hours works, the more RecBucks accrued and credited towards a pass. Applications accepted until May 1.
