I love the Rockies along with the rest of my family but this is not for me but for my mom who would never try something like this.
My mom is 65 years old and doesn't miss the Rockies on TV. Sometimes we (my family) laugh because she will even watch a re-run and not even know it at first until she realizes that it looks all to familiar. She looks forward to baseball season. Through good or bad she has always rooted for the Rockies and she isn't quiet about it.
When I come to visit, I know when the Rockies are playing because the TV is on high volume and so is she. There have been times I have heard her cheering from outside the door. Unfortunately she has never seen a real live game because she doesn't like crowds or getting trapped between people. She is on oxygen which makes her feel uncomfortable in between people. She has a great sense of humor becaue she jokes with us that she is only on oxygen because she gets so excited when the Rockies play.
We have always tried to talk her into going to one game and she says "I would love to but you know I don't like squeezing between people with my oxygen". I believe if I could give her a chance to see it from a suite, she would go and it would be one of the happiest moments in her life. My mom has been through a lot over the years and rarely gets out of the house.I would love to give her the opportunity to see her beloved Rockies in person and hopefully start a trend. Who knows, she might enjoy it so much that she would be willing to see her Rockies in person more often. On top of this, my sister Jean is a Rockies/Helton freak and would also love this opportunity after being disappointed by not getting any playoff tickets.
In addition to my mom and sister, I would love to take John(my dad), Brad(Jean's husband), Jake(my nephew-Jean's son), Jenna(my niece-Jean's daughter), Rick(my husband), Dan(brother in law), Joan(my other sister), andMatt(my nephew) and Sarah(my niece). We are a close knit family,so close we live within 10 miles of each other. I knowif my mom was surrounded by all of us, who all love the Rockies,it would put the icing on the cake. I can only imagine what joy it would bring all of us toget this opportunity.I would love for my mom to be surrounded by her family,rooting for a team that she loves to watch, in a suite where she could feel comfortable.
