Those of you who grew up in a small town will laugh when you read this:
1: You can name everyone you graduated with
2: You know what FFA is
3: You went to parties at a pasture, barn, or middle of a dirt road
4: You used to cruise Main
5: It was cool to date someone from a neighboring town
6: The whole school went to the same party after graduation
7: You don't give directions by street name or directions but by references (Turn by the Winders', then your come upon the Forbes' place, then go yonder bout nother spell and ya-all endup by the Spears')
8: The golf course has only 9 holes and they have sand "greens"
9: The people in the "BIG CITY" dress funny then you pick up the trend 2 years later
10: Your car stays dirty because of the dirt roads and you will never drive a dark colored car for this reason
11: Anyone you want can be found a the local gas station or feed store or sale barn
12: You see at least one friend driving a tractor through town
13: Or one of your friends drives a grain truck to school occasionally
14: The gym teacher suggests "haulin' hay"for the summer
15: Directions are given using THE stoplight for reference.
16: You decide to walk somewhere for exercise and 5 people pull over and ask if you need a ride
17: Your teachers call you by your sibling's names
18: Your teachers remember when they taught your parents
19: You can charge at local stores or write checks without an ID
20: The closest McDonalds is 45 miles away (or farther)
21: The closest mall is over an hour away
22: It is normal to see an older man riding through town on a riding lawn mower
23: You are related in one way or another to a percentage of the town's population.
