The Brighton Chamber of Commerce selected Ms. Marcia Aden, from Overland Trail Middle School, as the Outstanding Teacher of the Month for October. Ms. Aden was presented with a plaque, flowers from Petals and Pearls, and a gift certificate from Salon Silverado by chamber board member Melody Grant and chamber executive director Lynn Southard.

Aden was nominated by Nanette Small and Brianna Ramon for her outstanding teaching skills. Both commended her for the time and attention she gives to her students, and how much fun she makes learning in her classroom.

Small said, "My sons are not able to be in her class this year, however they carry with them the same interest and wonder that she has given to them."
