Friends of the Library join the Festival of Trees
Contributed by: Ann Myers on 11/27/2006

Friends of the Rangeview Library District are participating this Holiday Season's Festival of Trees sponsored by the city of Brighton. Different groups are assigned a tree to decorate with a special theme. The trees are on display throughout the city.
The Friends tree is on display at Valley Bank and Trust on Bromley Lane.

Interested buyers are encouraged to bid on the volunteer works of living art. On December 15th bidding will be closed at noon and someone will become the owner of a custom Christmas tree.

The Library Friends in Brighton picked the theme, "Brighton, City of Diverse Culture". The tree displays a variety of ornaments representing everything from the area's farming industry to the local theater group to the various ethnic groups that have deep roots in the city. Proceeds from the silent auction will go the Brighton Branch.
