Running car disappears. A 43-year-old Northglenn woman reported her car was stolen Aug. 21. The theft occurred at approximately 9 a.m. at the woman's apartment complex on the 9700 block of Huron Street. The $25,000 car wouldn't start properly so she used jumper cables to get it going. She went inside for a moment and when she came back out, the car was gone.

Motorist busted with marijuana. A 38-year-old Greeley man was arrested for possession of cannabis Aug. 24 after he was caught with more than two ounces of pot. The man was pulled over by police at 4:40 p.m. near Interstate 25 and 120th Avenue for driving erratically. The Greeley man said he owns a business called "The 420 Farmacy L.L.C." and that he is opening a dispensary.

Worker hurt in construction accident. A construction worker was airlifted to the hospital Aug. 28 after he fell off a ladder. The incident occurred at around 7:20 a.m. at a construction site near Anthem Ranch Road and Belford Circle in Broomfield. The worker was pushed off the ladder while disassembling a metal rack full of lumber, which then fell on him.

Police seek suspect in hit and run. A 19-year-old Denver man was taken to the hospital Aug. 21 after he was run over by a car. The incident occurred at 9 p.m. at a gas pump at Safeway, 7353 Federal Blvd. in Westminster. Witnesses say the Denver man became involved in a verbal altercation with the driver of a four-door sedan. The driver began "revving the engine, peeled out and slammed" into the 19-year-old before fleeing the area.

Man sprays neighbor with mace. A 77-year-old Westminster man was arrested on suspicion of battery Aug. 22 after he used mace to attack a 19-year-old man. At about 12:45 p.m., the victim said he let his dog out to go to the bathroom at his apartment complex on the 8400 block of Sheridan Boulevard when the 77-year-old walk toward him and stated "Get your dog off the lawn," and sprayed the mace on him.

Body found in field. Brighton police are investigating the case of a 55-year-old Brighton man found dead in a field located east of the 600 block of North Seventh Avenue. The body was found Aug. 28 by a woman walking her dog in the area.
