Adams and Broomfield Counties, CO - CASA of Adams and Broomfield Counties is thrilled to announce local Brighton artist Judith Dickinson as this year's Indulge for CASA art contest winner. Artwork created by Dickinson was selected in a vote by the public at a Dining Out for CASA event on June 10 at Jay's Bar & Grille.
As the official 2009 winner, Dickinson's piece will be used throughout CASA of Adams and Broomfield Counties' marketing materials for this year's 2009 Indulge for CASA event. Dickinson will also receive four complementary tickets to the Indulge for CASA event, that will be held on July 23 at the Balistreri Vineyards, where her artwork will be on auction with proceeds benefitting CASA. Dickinson will also have the opportunity to autograph replicas of her winning piece for those in attendance.
An incredible example of the abundant local art community, Dickinson has been painting professionally for more than 25 years and has combined her love of education and art by serving as an art instructor at The Art Academy of Colorado in Brighton. She has received numerous awards and commissions throughout her career, including paintings of college presidents and corporate leaders, as well as paintings for private collections throughout the United States.
Dickinson's artwork was one of seven submissions to this year's Indulge for CASA art contest from local artists Amanda Korth (Westminster), Monika Phillips (Thornton), Ken Delgado (Broomfield) and Kay Clark (Broomfield), all of which will be auctioned at the event on July 23. Indulge for CASA is a fundraising event that provides the community with a chance to enjoy wine, hors d' oeuvres and decadent desserts and the opportunity to participate in a live and silent auction to help support the work that CASA of Adams and Broomfield Counties does with abused and neglected children. The event will be held at Balistreri Vineyards located at 1946 East 66 th Avenue in Denver on July 23rd from 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase at
