Capistrano has its swallows. Hinckley Ohio has its buzzards. Well, as most Brightonians know, we have our vultures!
They are back in town for their usual migratory layover and have been observed resting and generally hanging out before catching connecting flights to winter destinations.
This year, St Augustine church and surrounding environs have been a favorite place to sleep and hangout for awhile.
Local Brighton residents have been observing the birds while of course double checking for carrion or other Turkey Vulture food fare in their general location.
