Adams County Cultural Council to Host Technical Assistance Workshop
The Adams County Cultural Council will host the annual Technical Assistance Workshop on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 from 9 a.m. to noon. The workshop is designed to help organizations gain an understanding of the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District's (SCFD) grant funding process, funding criteria and how to complete the applications. Organizations interested in funding for 2008 are encouraged to attend.

Karen Gerrity, SCFD deputy district administrator and Nancy McCamey, Tier III coordinator will discuss funding eligibility and the new online forms and applications. James Younger, Adams County Cultural Council chairman, will discuss the General Operating Support (GOS) Incentive Funding application.

Sample forms and other resources will be available for those interested in applying for Adams County funding. Non-profit corporations and local government agencies can only qualify for funding, if their primary purpose is to provide for the enlightenment and entertainment of the public through production, presentation, exhibition, advancement or preservation of art, music, theater, dance, zoology, botany, natural history or cultural history.

The workshop will take place at the Riverdale Golf Course Clubhouse located at 13300 Riverdale Road, Brighton. For additional information, contact Lynne Hydinger, program administrator for the Adams County Cultural Council, at 303.453.8587.
