State Representative Judy Solano was a sponsor of a House Bill to protect the bald eagle in Colorado. The federal government de-listed the endangerment of the bald eagle and now it is up to each state to protect our national symbol from extinction. July 1, 2008, it became illegal in Colorado to take and posses bald eagles.
