Prairie View Thunderhawks Varsity Volleyball team winning first place at the Coronado Cougar Classic Tournament on Saturday, September 19, 2009. The Lady Thunderhawks beat Peak to Peak High School with a 22-25,25-16,15-10 win; Douglas County High School 25-7, 25-17; Northglenn High School 25-13, 25-12; Skyview High School 25-8, 25-6; and the championship game against Coronado High School 23-25, 26-24, 15-11. Coach Grace led the ladies to a very strong win this tournament. All the players were very strong and played very well together. Lady Thunderhawks included Emily Alexis, Ciera Borho, Paige Douglas, Jordan Ennis, Nisa Garcia, Sara Walker, Courtney Gallegos, Emilee Knott and Aubrey Mangers.

The next Prairie View Volleyball game will be at home (Prairie View High School, 12909 E 120 th Ave, Henderson CO 80640) on Monday, September 21, 2009, against Denver West. They will also have a game Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at home against Skyview; and Friday, September 25 th away at Liberty High School in Colorado Springs. Prairie View is a 4A Division School and in the Skyline 5A/4A League.
