In the Feb. 28 public hearing, the Adams County Board of Commissioners approved a new management agreement with Professional Recreation Management (PRM) allowing the company to continue to manage the operations at the Riverdale golf facility.
Bob Doyle of PRM, and the owners/managers of The Golf Club at Bear Dance are partnering to make the county's Riverdale golf facility even better.
"Riverdale Dunes Golf Course has been consistently ranked one of the top courses in Colorado for 18 of the last 20 years by local & national publications," said Board of Commissioners Chairman
W.R. "Skip" Fischer. "With this management agreement now in place, PRM has plans to ensure the Dunes Golf Course will retain its position as a top public course in the state as well as expand the facility's catering and food and beverage operations."
The Golf Club at Bear Dance opened in 2002 and received Honorable Mention honors as Best New Public Course. It was designed and built by PGA members and is home to the Colorado Section of the PGA and The Colorado PGA Historical Center. It has consistently been rated as one of Colorado's best and most challenging public courses.
"The time became ripe for an infusion of additional golf managers at Riverdale," said Doyle, who has solely owned PRM for the last two decades. "With the Board of County Commissioners' foresight, we've been able to partner with this outstanding golf management team. It is a terrific opportunity for Riverdale and for Adams County residents who appreciate golfing at a premier public golf course."
