Blog Entry 5 of 21 It's Mommy's Turn To Talk
A chance for one mommy to get a word in and a moment to reflect.

Birthdays, mammaries, and summer...

Last weekend I turned 37. It sounds a little too close to 40, to me anyway. But I made a couple discoveries on my birthday. One is that coconut cake is my new fave, and I plan on eating it whenever possible. Two, the cards that play music, while cute and fun, are as expensive as a cd. Three, a trip to the Gap outlet puts me in a very good mood.

My two weeks is up, and it's time to hit the ground running. My class started yesterday, Anatomy and Physiology, in case you cared. Other than watching my professor cup her "mammaries" to show us where they were, I was excited to begin another class. Apparently we are going to become "very comfortable with our bodies" and while that sounds weird, I think it will benefit me if I ever do become a nurse. Although I think I will refrain from cupping myself as much as possible.

The kids are loving summer, except when I make them do schoolwork. Then they get angry and remind me it's summer and all the normal moms let their kids play video games and watch t.v. all day. I am far from normal, and proud of it. They also have about a zillion play dates set up, and various camps, vbs, and park outings set up. We are going to have fun and I mean it!

Enjoy and be safe!

It's a good thing your prof is not a male. You know, for when you discuss boy parts. Awk-ward.
