covering the uninsured in Colorado
They did a health care study in Colorado to see how to: 1)get more people to have health coverage 2)the lowest cost for 1), getting people health coverage 3)design a system that is fair The result was: Single-payer health care covers everyone, and it was the lowest cost. Also, it was the only option that provided adequate coverage for all, not inadequate coverage. Single-payer accomplishes the goals of the study, but yet the blue ribbon health commission is moving forward with a terrible proposal to have the people who still won't be able to afford insurance help buy it for others using tax money. Many people will be forced to buy inadequate insurance or face a tax penalty. Please see Sicko, and please also support HR 676: http://www.hr676.org/

Colorado has 780,000 uninsured, and the numbers are growing. Out of those insured, some are starting to go overseas for treatment, even if they are insured here:
http://www.newsweek.com/id/169827
as many with insurance have high co-pays, etc.
Will Colorado accept what we have? Or will we demand from newly-elected democrats and some republicans that we need a system that guarantees comprehensive coverage for all?
Will Coloradans accept not just having our JOBs shipped overseas, but now having US (we the people) shipped overseas if we need a procedure we can't afford, even with insurance?
Will Coloradans accept foreign doctors as opposed to US-credentialed doctors?
Will Coloradans accept paying 1 in every 5 dollars in the economy on health in the coming years? (over-priced medical system).
Will Coloradans accept politicians telling us "it's your fault" you can't afford insurance and not doing more than address frivilous lawsuits as the ONLY reason for high healthcare costs (it is NOT the main reason for high healthcare costs)?
Or will someone take a stand and say it's unacceptable to pay twice as much as others, but get half the healthcare?
