People who inspired you (and how): Gale Norton; Bill Armstrong. Gale because she hired me and showed me it's possible to be a successful politician and still hold strong philosophical beliefs; Bill because he has succeeded so impressively in diverse facets of public and private life, and he still makes time to encourage newcomers.
How you have contributed to the community: Yvette and I are raising seven children, including 5 teen or older, and none are in jail! I've been a Scout leader, a Sunday school teacher, and have been a state lawmaker for 10 years.
What are the biggest issues facing your constituency now: Our economy including falling values, and high energy prices. Coloradans need a government smart and humble enough to make and enforce fair rules and then mostly keep out of the way. Politicians can't make better decisions for people than they can make for themselves.
