Townsend group wins 1 st place at the Golf for A Precious Child Tournament

A Precious Child had their first annual Golf for A Precious Child tournament on Friday, August 7 th 2009 at the Broadlands Golf Course. The competition was great but the clear 1 st place winners were Jeff Townsend, Larry Winegar, Shawn Kelly, and Bill Reffel representing Townsend Retirement. Mrs. Colorado, Megan Yarberry joined in on the fundraiser by spending the day encouraging the golfers. Megan is a huge advocate for helping disadvantaged and displaced children in Colorado. The tournament was a huge success because of the support from local and national businesses.

The sponsors were Front Range Maxillofacial and Implant Surgery, Townsend Retirement, NMFRD, Broomfield Police Department, Incredible Smiles, Summit Chiropractic, Interstate, OfficeMax, Mackinaw, Inc., GHP Horwath, Sill-Ter Har Motors, S.T.A., Janus Brands, Mortgage Planning Specialists, and Broomfield Printing Company. The funds that were raised are being used to supply backpacks and school supplies to local children in need.
