Broomfield clerk finds petitions sufficient
Contributed by: City and County of Broomfield on 10/14/2008

Broomfield City and County Clerk Russ Ragsdale has found that a citizen petition opposing Ordinance 1891, the city's "nuisance property ordinance," has sufficient signatures to require the council to reconsider the action.

Required were 918 signatures, and there were 975 valid signatures turned in, Ragsdale said. The petition was submitted Oct. 9 by opponents of the action, which the City Council passed on final reading Sept. 9.
