47 MILLION AMERICANS UNINSURED.
I can define about three different classes of protesters.
1. The Bigot, who doesn't want a black to succeed (Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck)
2. The Right Wing zealots, who don't want the Democrats to succeed, (Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and the rest of the Republicans.
3. The Corporate Puppets, who are mainly Republicans hired by Insurance Companies and others who want to maintain the rising medical costs for profit and would have to cut back if they had to compete with a government program. These are the same people who didn't oppose the expenditures for the Iraq war which killed over 4,000 Americans and the $8.7 Trillion debt in 2008 but are screaming loud and clear now about the measly $1.7 trillion cost for the entire program.
All of the above DON'T CARE ABOUT THE 47 MILLION AMERICANS WITHOUT HEALTH INSURANCE.
Sweden, Spain, England, France and a few other developed countries have comprehensive health insurance that covers all. They all have longer life expectancies, lower infant mortality rates and lower costs than the US. But then they don't also have Republicans. Truman tried and failed by Republicans, Clinton tried and failed by Republicans, now Obama is really working hard.
Beware Republicans!! With your group voting against Sotomayor you are losing the minority votes. your groups opposing Obama and his health program, you are losing the majority popular American vote. Go ahead, protest. Your days are numbered beginning in 2010!!
