Broomfield Breakers Make Waves

Broomfield Breakers Masters Swim Team recorded 11 first place winners at the Boulder Pentathlon, Saturday, January 28th held in the University of Colorado Competition Pool. The Breakers were lead by Kevin Nash’s and Christian Dickerson’s combined nine first places. Nash took first place overall in the long course, age 40-44. Dickerson won the overall short course, age 30-34. Jeff Magourik placed 3rd overall in the long course, age 40-44 and Amy Dickerson finished 3rd overall in the short course, age 30-34. Don Heins took first place in the 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke, 50-54 age group. The Broomfield Breakers next meet is Saturday, February 25th at Loveland Sweetheart Meet.

If you are interested in joining the Broomfield Breakers Masters Swim Team, practice is each Monday and Wednesday night from 8pm to 9:30pm at the Broomfield Recreation Pool. The Broomfield Breakers are a member of Colorado Master Swim Association which is an organization that provides organized workouts, competitions, clinics and workshops for adults aged 18 and over. The Broomfield Breakers, a member of the Colorado Master Swim Association is for swimmers of all skills and designed to help swimmers improve fitness and/or train for specific goals, and offer active support for a healthy lifestyle through friendship, and camaraderie.
