Free sail boat rides at Standley Lake


Hey guess what...

Yea, Yea I know water is wet and so are the sides of sailboats in Colorado. Yep you heard me right sailing in Colorado at Standley Lake Regional Park in Westminster on Sunday May 17th.

Community Sailing of Colorado is offering a free sailing day on May 17 th. Were giving you adults and your kids free rides on sailboats from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to celebrate the beginning of the sailing season and Community Sailing's 15 th season of teaching the youth, ages 8-17, how to sail. There will be sailboat skippers and adult sailors as well as CSC instructors and other volunteers. It will be first come first served so get that car into gear to get your free ride. Children under 18 must be accompanied by their parent or guardian and must have written proof of swimming ability. Parents can go to www.communitysailing.org to see the swimming prerequisites. For group reservations, more information and directions please call Steve Frank at: 303-757-7718. CSC is located at Standley Lake 1 ½ miles west of Wadsworth Ave. on 100 th Ave. at Simms.

By the Way if you of your kid enjoys sailing we have sailing lessons during the summer on Standley Lake and at our Cheery Creek location as well. Sailboat rides are free for the 17 th.

There is a $6.00 gate charge, per car, to enter Standley Lake Regional Park: walk-ins are free!!!!
