Blog Entry 44 of 50 My ramblings, rantings and ravings!
I am a stay at home mother and I could write about my 2 kids, husband and dog for hours- maybe days! I am a native of Castle Rock but am now raising my family in Greeley in our very first home~ yay! I enjoy crafts, cooking, gardening, outdoors, animals, hollywood gossip (my guilty pleasure!) all kinds of music. I write poetry when I have a minute which these days is almost never! Bottom line is that I am just a woman with a family who has lived in Colorado her whole life. I have opinions about some things, and strong ones too! But that is all it is- just my opinion. And you know what they say about opinions don't you? I am at an interesting time in my life right now, raising 2 kids, being a wife and trying to figure out what my purpose on this earth is. Any woman can make babies and be a mother, but that can't be it for me. I am searching for what my life is supposed to be, my "higher purpose" or something. The idea has been tossed around that perhaps I am going through a mid-life crisis which is IMPOSSIBLE cuz I am only 28, not even 30 yet! So this CANT be mid-life, but it is for surely some sort of crisis! Hang on, it promises to be an interesting adventure!

Free pumpkins, haunted houses and fun - oh my!
Contributed by: danette glenn-havlik   on 10/24/2006

This weekend we had Fun!

We picked up a few free pumpkins from the local Real Estate offices on Saturday. That is a sure sign of the holidays!

We also had a visiting guest. My friend Denise from New Jersey was here. It was her first time coming to Colorado. Frankly I think I am a lame host. We didn't go see any great attractions, none of the local landmarks, we did a bunch of baking and not much else. She said she had a good time, so all I can do is take her word for it.

On Saturday, we took Denise to the Park Meadows area and went in search of a haunted house kit. Michaels was all out of kits, then we drove to Hobby Lobby and they had nothing at all! So we came back to Castle Rock and went to Super Wal-Mart and we had to put together our own haunted house kit. It took us at least 3 hours to tweak and perfect our Haunted House, but we did it.

So, after all that hard work and time that was put into making it work- we ate it! Not all of it, but at least we have started on the roof.

And I am sure that it wont take long before it is all finished! It was fun while it lasted.
