What I do: Current Clerk & Recorder, conduct elections, administer Motor Vehicle, Recording, and Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners
My favorite place in town to hang out: Downtown Littleton because of the friendly
atmosphere and unique shops
What I like most about living here: the people and the 300 days of sunshine
My interests and hobbies: Reading, scrapbooking, jogging, and working!!
What is my favorite thing to cook: something easy and quick
People who inspired me (and how): My third grade teacher, Mrs. Morrisey, who always taught her students to say "I'll try" rather than "I can't"
How I have contributed to the community: During the past 15 years, I have served on several non-profit boards including:
Campfire Girls and Boys
Save Our Youth ( past Treasurer and current member of Advisory Board
Children's Grief Educational Association (current board member)
Also, I mentored an at-risk inner city youth.
What are the biggest issues facing Arapahoe County now: Dealing with unfunded mandates from the State and Federal government and maintaining exceptional services to the citizens of Arapahoe County with limited resources. Also, the shortfall in transportation infrastructure funding that impacts our ability to preserve the high quality of life that we enjoy in Arapahoe County.
