Description:
How was Castlewood Canyon formed? How did water, flowing on the mainly flat eastern plains, begin to carve the canyon we now know? Join Volunteer Naturalist Ben Parker as we hike the East Canyon Trail. We'll explore how accidents of geology influence where water flows and what it does. This hike is almost entirely along the East Canyon Preservation Trail, so no pets.
Bring a lunch or trail snacks and dress for outdoor conditions. Meet at the Visitor Center. Please reserve your place for this hike by calling 303-688-5242. Limit 12.
