Rita Bates was on her second run for fresh cherries June 30. She stopped at the small fruit and vegetable stand, located in the lot next to Keller Williams Realty, 619 Wilcox St., earlier in the day to buy some fruit for her guests arriving, but said she and her husband couldn't keep from snacking on the locally-grown treats.
The stand, ran by Castle Rock locals, Thomas Barnes and Ashley Mcleod, has been open for three weeks and will be serving up fresh treats throughout the summer.
An assortment of popcorn, hot sauces and other local treats are also available at the stand.
